A New "State-of-the-Art" OCD Treatment Clinic
Offering a Unique Program
REACH is only one of two intensive hospital programs in the United States offering ERP with medication management. Embedded within Bridgeport Hospital’s REACH Program, serving patients predominantly on state or government insurance, it delivers evidence-based ERP regardless of insurance type.
This exciting new program is possible through a collaboration between the Yale OCD Research Clinic and REACH. Brian Zaboski, PhD, ABPP, directs daily exposure and response prevention (ERP) treatment, and Christopher Pittenger, MD, PhD, provides weekly medication consultation. They join REACH staff, including the IOP’s Medical Director, Fatima Motiwala, MD, who provides ongoing medication management, as well as Michael Reynolds, LCSW, and Psychiatric Technician David Torres, who provide daily therapy services to patients.
Setting the Gold Standard with Outcomes
Measurement-based data have been excellent, with decreases in OCD severity and comorbid depression, and an increase in quality of life. With ample hospital support through a 5-year business plan, a steady waitlist of patients, and plans to expand capacity in the coming months with a new staff hire, we look forward to continued growth as the program instills bravery and confidence in so many patients in our community.
